❤️Target sequence adverbs to work on explaining the order in which actions occur, such as first, then, next, and last
❤️Answer wh questions about the seasonal short story
❤️Work on inferencing and making predictions about what might happen next in the seasonal sequencing stories
❤️Discuss winter, spring, summer, and fall vocabulary related to categories within the theme. For example, with the summer stories, you can target gardening, cold beverages, library items, and summer picnic foods.
❤️Teach AAC CORE words such as on, off, more, again, want, turn, all done, look
❤️Work on story retelling, story comprehension, and narrative skills
⭐There is a sequencing short story lesson plan guide that includes the following:
- The pictures and story
- Visual pictures for key vocabulary in the story
- Wh questions with an answer guide for each story
✅Each picture sequencing set comes with full-page pictures so that you can use them digitally on a computer or iPad. When printing the sequencing pictures, you can print a full-page, two to a page, or four to a page.
The sequencing pictures will fit in photo boxes when printing four to a page. By printing out the pictures, your students can practice putting the pictures in the correct order.
For SLPs and educators needing printer-friendly options, you don’t have to stress about printing in color because black-and-white options are included!
The 3-picture scene sequencing is a shorter story, and the 4-picture scene sequencing has a longer story.

SLPS LIKE YOU SAID THIS…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Winter Sequencing Set – “This is a fantastic resource, love that it includes pictures and the transitions students need to use to while describing the story. The key vocabulary words with pictures is an added bonus, as many of my students have difficulty with labeling and vocabulary (e.g., “the thingy”), and this was very helpful for them. Need more than a winter unit!” – Norma N.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spring Sequencing Set – “I love these sequencing tasks. We complete an in-depth vocabulary study using the tier 2 words provided for the first session. Then practice answering questions, sequencing, and retelling using vocab during the second session.” – Michelle R.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Summer Sequencing Set – “Easy to use resource that can be used for different goals such as language and artic” – Katie R.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fall Sequencing Set – “good resource my students enjoy to use during therapy.” – Lauren K.
