Aren’t these visual arrow strips cool!?  They come in 10 different colors for just a $1.  Have your students swipe their finger along them as they stretch the first sound in the beginning of the sentence.  Use it also as a visual reminder to take a breath for easy onset. I used this with my All About Verbs Flip Book that is in my TPT store.

I got these wooden blocks from the Target Dollar spot and grabbed some of my son’s toy cars.  I explained to my little kindergarten student that when we get stuck “like the car in front of the blocks”, if we slowly push forward, the blocks move and we can get through.  Same way with our speech!  When we get stuck, if we slowly ease into it, we can get the air out with our words.  Each time they practice a word or sentence, the student can slowly move the car through the blocks.

I grabbed these fruit wraps at the dollar store and they are a great way to have students practice stretching their words.  Each time they practice “stretching” a word, they can pull a piece off the fruit wrap.  It really shows how the to stretch as you pull a piece off!
